Received 11.47 p.m., April 11. Rome, April 11. Ottaiano has been destroyedThe rain of sand continues. The panic is terrible. There is great destitution on all sides. King Emanuel and Queen Helena have contributed four thousand sterling for relief There have been further violent explosions. _ . There are strong disturbances in the interior of the mountain.. Lava is again Rowing towards Pompeii. There is a downpour of ashes in the districts surrounding the volcano.
