London, April 1. Lord Elgin, wishing to inquire into the mope of the Operations of the expedition despatched by Sir F. Lingard against the Munski tribesmen in the Nigeria, stopped it’when it had reached the enemy’s country. The expedition remained inactive, and when permission to again proceed ar* rived, the expedition was recalled, Lowing to a native outbreak in Sakoto. Meanwhile the Munski oountry remains closed to all trade.
