The final matches of tho polo tourna* meat took place this afternoon in good weather. Tho ground was in a fit condition for play, though very dead for making fast hits or fleetest gallops. There was a good attendance for the final for the Savillo cop. Rangitikei defeated Wellington Abyllto 2, and won the cup. The winners had the game all their own way, and never allowed their opponents to [ soore till the last spell, when Johnstone obtained two goals, the first after a fine run by Skerrett. For the handicap cup fiual Hawke’s Bay (handicap four) beat Cbrißtoburoh'A (handioap 12) by 17 goals to nil. The Hawke’s Bay team excelled in every department of the game, and thoronghly outclassed their opp monte, who. made a stubborn fight for it.
