ALLEGED MURDER.

A BITTER ROMANCE. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, yesterday. Allan Hinoheliffe was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with the at tempted murder of Mabel Clark on February stb. The pair caused a sensation on the date 'mentioned by announoiog their determination to die together. It was now alleged that Hinoheliffe administered poison to his fiancee, Miss Clark, and then took some herself. Giving evidence to-day, Miss Clark said she oould not remember how she got the poison. She had been iDtimate with Hinchcliffe, and her mother had discovered the faot. Hinoheliffe had said previously it waß belter for them to die. Later.—Hinoheliffe, charged with the attempted murder of Mabel Clark, reserved his defence, and was committed for trial.
