I The Premior and party arrived at New Plymouth this eveDiag from OnehungaI The Premier wont on to Wanganui by I speeial train, whence he proceeds toI morrow to open a sohool at FoxtOD. Mrs and Miss Ssddon go to Wellington by tbe I Tutanekai. Whilst the Premier was in I Auokiand the New Zealand Government offered to place the steamer Tutanekai at the disposal of the Frenoh Government I and Frenoh Gonsnl at Auokiand to proceed to Tahiti with foodstuffs and any other assistance desired to give the natives who I suffered by tbe recent disaster, At New Plymouth the Premier stated I he had received a telegram from the Consul at Auokiand, tendering warmest tbaoks on behalf of the Frenoh Government for tho kind offer, and stating that it bad been ascertained tbe condition of the Tahiti natives was not as bad as had been reported, so that any special assistance was not necessary.
