REVIVAL MEETINGS.
At the Balvation Army Barracks last night the first public meeting in Gisborne in connection with the speoial revival meetings was conducted by Brigadier and Mrs Alb’ston, the chief officers of the Army in the North Island. The building wbs crowded, and the meeting was throughout fervent and impressive, with the lighter shades which helped to keep the attention of all rivetted on the main objects in view. Both the Brigadier and bis wife are flnent speakers, and the addresses were deeply interesting throughout. The smgiDg and baud musio was in keeping with the revival proceeding?, and there is every rea. son to believe that the meetings will work a power of goad and greatly assist the energetie local effioers of the Corps. Adjutant Henry, who aooompsnies the ohief offioers. also gives material help in the mission. There will be a speoial meeting of Salvationists this evening, which will be followed by a half night of prayer. Speoial servioea will also be conducted to morrow.
