Low, who had boon misßing for soma days in attempting to oroas the Southern Alps from tbo western ranges, haa been found alivo. Hia delay in reaching the Hermitage was owing to hio having aprainod his anklo. News from South Westland to-day gives particulars of the accident to Mr Low when orossing to tho Hormitago. It seems that after sprainiDg his arls’o he orawled on bis hands aud knees for four nights, dragging biß awßg after him. by means of a light lino ho carried for emergencies. In this manner bo ovontaally reached Da La Beobo bivouo, where ho waa found by Guides Clark and Graham on Friday morning, ten days after the accident. Tho guides got Low through to the Hermitage, and then returned to the Westland side of tho rango to intercept the search parties in that quarter, and give them tho good nows. The parties mot in j the mountaius where the happy tidings were communicated, and the eoarohers then returned homewards. <
