There is no alteration in the beef ma>ket. Rutter : The prico is steady for choicest brands at'lßs per cwt. There is less demand for medium qualities, owing to the good supply ou hand. Danish is quoted I at 116 Tbe cheese market is firm, with an improved demand for colored at 635, white at 62s per cv.’t. The hemp market is quiet with lilt'e doing, but good fe.ling prevails. The price on spot to day for gf a. 2 Wellington is £32 10s per ton ; March-June shipments, £3l 10s. The price of Manila hemp, fair current grade, on spot today is £4l 10s per ton. The cocksfoot seed market is firm, with an upward tendency. Tho average piice for bright, olean Nsw Zealand oocksfcot seed, weighing 17ib per bushel, ou spot today is 56s per owt.
