Ia neither case were tbe parsons charged bookmakers, but they were deemed undeiirablo charecbers, and were warned off, but did not leave. D Livingstone did not appear, and it was stated ho hsd loft for West Australia. Ho was fined £lO and costs. Morris Michao 1 , express driver, was fined £7 and costs. The City Council, in committee tonight, decided to advertise for a) olrc trical engineer for ths electric tramways at a salary of £7OO, and a'so for a traffic manager £3OO per annum. The Temperanoe Reform Council declined tho request of tho Licensed Victuallers’ Association to nominate two candida'or representing tho moderate party along with three from the.no liconao party for the City Licensing Committee. Auckland, last night. Tqo gold output from the-Auckland goldfields for the past three weeks is £72,806. A man named Jan Krislaeos has boen ar,cited on a charge of burg'ary at a private residence in Ponsonby, from which jewellory and money had been taken.
