NEW GEYSER AT WAIMANGU. (Per Press Association.) Rntorua. last n’ght. This morning at 8 o'clock a new geyser broke out just below tho shelter sheds at WaimaDgu. . There were four shots, with about a second between. Water and black saod were sent about two hundred feet above tbe Bhelter Bhed. The geyser is playing continuously. The volume of water, and mud is iocroasing in height and width, some of tha shots being fu ly e'ght hundred feet. Numerous specta’ors have telephoned to say the sight is a magnificent one. The ciietaker at Waimargu has noticed activity for tho past three days, and informed tourists yesterday that he had a presentimeut that there was going to be an eruption.
