Timaru, last night. The Premier arrived here in the ss. Tutanekai from Oamaru early this morning, and went almost' immediately by epeoial train to Ashburton. The Hoo. Mr Mills, who aooompamed the Premier from Oamaru, stopped at Timaru a few hours, going on by express to Wa'mate, where he will inquire into some protests against certain land valuations in that dissriot.
