BOATING FATALITY.
ONLY SWIMMER OF PARTY DROWNED. (Per ' Fress Association.) Wanganui, last night,
A youth named Haos Buckiogbam was drowned in the river this afternoon. He and two others were sailing, when their boat ran eground. The boat was pushed off, but upset about 16 feet from the shore. Buckingham, who was the only swimmer of the party, started for the shore, but suddouly sank feet foremost without uttering a word. The others clang to the boat till rescued. The body has not yet been reoovered.
