Snazelle told “ How Bill Adams won tho Battle of Waterloo,” will be curious to see how modern stage management in the shape of musical comedy has treated this familiar story. Mr George Stovqnson’s clover combination will present the latest old world success for tho first time liore on Wednesday next. It has been attracting crowded houses in tho southern cities. Laughter is tho keynoto of success in all modem musical comedies, and it is claimed for “ Bill Adams ” that it is just one big laugh. The management promise that the scenery and dressing will be a surprise to the oldest playgoers. Most theatregoers will be pleased, to learn that the merry musi- I cal comedy, “ The Skirt Dancer,” will be revived on Thursday night. This is the piece in which Mr Charles McNaughton made such a hit as the “Dude.” So great was the impres-1 sion made by him in Sydney that one critic stated that he was the. best allround comedian seen in Australia since J the late Frod Leslie.
