I In all the otitlying districts from Ekelahuna.much alarm was occasioned, and the hills in pluccs seemed to dip. At one rtsidenco at Rongomai overy chimney came down. Children proceeding to school at Eketahuna woro thrown to the ground, and horse-* stampeded. At Alfrodton, Niroahs, Rongoma ; , and Tawatara, which are in the immediate vioinily of Eketahuna, the shock was felt severely, though not much damage was done.
