HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE
MUSICAL COMEDY SEASON. ~
The box plans for.the three nights season at His Majesty’s Theatre of Mr George Stephenson's English Musioal Comedy Company, to be inaugurated on Wednesday, tbe 21st, will be opened this morning. The initisl attraction will be the firet production here' of an entirely original musical extravaganza entitled ” Bill Adams.” The musio is by Stephen Pbilpott, who has made quite a name in the last few ye.ars as a composer of several melodious ballads. Tbe pieoe is built round tbe story so inimitably told by Mr G. H. Snazells, and is said to contain clever dialogue and laughter provoking situations. The period being Napoleom'o, there is ample scope for sumptuous dressing and military speo'.cble. The management, it is said, havo taken eyery oppor*‘ tnnity in dressing and staging. It is promised by the management that when the curtain rises on the seoond act, over £BOO , worth of military uniforms and dresses are in view of the audienoe. The programme, as advertised in another column, will bo strictly adhered to.
