THE BLACK FAMILY

Another large and enthusiaet'o audience greeted the Black Family last night, when a change of programme was provided. Miss Nellie was in excellent voiop, and gave (by request) a most sympathetic rendering of 11 Sing Me to Sleep” with an orchestral accompaniment. This item was the vocal gem of the evening, and metited for this artist a double encore, in response to which Miss Nellie favored the aud'enco in her fine style with a charm-1 ing Scotch ballal. The audience were again treated to a musioal treat by Miss Black’s violin solo, which gave the youDg lady ample Boope to display her technical abilities. Master Bert B'aek was in ospi-1 tal form, and scored a great success by his I performance of the unique “ Buffalo B:ll I dance.” This young gentleman also did good work with various musioal instru- I meets, whilst Miss Elsie played in a highly artUtio manner a solo on the flute, which was received with ko m appreciation. Mr Black favored the audienoe with an amusiog interpretation of ’■ Oh Mai Conscience,” and easily scored a double encore. To-night the company make their farewell appearance in Gisborne, and have reduced the prioe of admission to 2s oiicle, and body of hall Is, whilst juveniles will be admitted to any part of the house at 63. This liberal concession should not ail to attract a large audience. 1
