St. John’s Vicarage, situated in the eastern portion.of the city, was broken into on Sunday night while service was being held in church, and £1 10b stolen. Eotianoe was gained through tbe scullery, adjoining a window. .

Last night thieves entered Mrs Perkin* son’s private house in Harding street while the members of tho family were in bed, and went through all the furniture oapable of holding valuables. They made a most thorough search, strewing tho contents all over the floor, and were successful inldiscovering, a sum of JEIO, whioh had been done hp Into paokages for the payment of tradesmen’s billß, and plaoed in a sideboard cupboard. 7_
