t At the noxt mooting of the Napier : Harbor Board Mr J. Vigor Brown has ■ given notice to movo as follows : “ That in face of the Marino Department having advised the Board that they will be unable to undertake a marine survey of our harbor for some considerable time, this Board now arrange to have a survey made by a marine engineer with special qualifications and experience in this class of work, and upon completion of such - survoy, and with a view to asking tko~ ratepayers’ sanction to a loan for com-' pletion of the breakwater harbor
works, that this Board engage the services of two leading marine engineers in New Zealand, with experience in harbor works, to report upon the breakwater harbor and give an estimate for completion of same according to present plans; further, the enginoers to bo asked to advise upon present and future wharfage accommodation within the breakwater harbor.”
