HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.

BEOADY’S VAUDEVILLE CO.

In spite of the inclemency of the weather last night, there was another largo and representative audience, when, this combination gave their second performance. The first part of the programme comprised a series of songs and dances. Miss Maher gave an excellent exhibition of artistic dancing, preceded by a pretty coou song, whiph soored for her a double encore. Mies Lillie Northwood’s jfiqe mezzo contralto was heard to advantage iu the stirring song “ The Boy in Blue,’ 1 and in response to an undeniable enoors this young lady favored the audience with

t “ Good-bye, Sweet Marie,” which wai i well reoeived. In tbe seoond part of the programme Mias L. Northwood rendered two descriptive songs with excellent effect. Mr Mike Maher once more amueed the audienoe from start to finish with his unique and original humor, his dancing with Miss Maher being a special feature of the programme. One of the best turns of tbo evening was Professor Bryant’s ventriloquial act, which is a most enjoyable and laughable performance. Hr Bryant as a mimio is undoubtedly Bn artist, his rendering of the various songs in different accents without any chenge of facial expression is marvel' lous. Mr Joe Archer was in splendid' form, and easily secured a double encore for his rendering of the song, “ Nursery Rhymes,” whilst Mr Harry Collins’ jok'es. and singing brought down tbe houso. The varied programms was brought to a fiaisli by the side-splittiug farce, “ Mrs Hash’s Boardinghouse,” in which all tbo memhot's of tbe company did good work. Mr Arthur Abbinson presided at tbe piano, and played tbo incidental music and accompaniments. To night tbe season concludes with another ohaogo of programme.
