Christchurch, last night,
Tbo Tramway Board's proposal to borrow jEIOO,OOO to extend and improve the electric tramway system was carried by a ratepayers’ poll held to-day ; 2505 voted for tho proposal, and 954 againßt. The ratepayers on the roll total 15,637.
