SALE OF YEARLINGS.
(Per Press 'Association.) Napier, last night. The annual saleß of thoroughbred year
lings from Messrs Douglas Bros.’ Te Mabanga stud and Mr S. H. Gollan’s MaDgatarta etud were offered as Hastings to day. There was a good attendance of outside buyers, and fair prioes were realised for most of tho lots. The twelve Mangatarata yearlings brought au average of 631 guineas, and the filly by The Possible—Primula reaching 190 guineas, the top pries of the day. The fourteen Te MahaDga youngs’ers were disposed of at an average of 61£ guineas, the highest prices being 160 guineas for a colt by Gold Reef—Nymph, and 155 guineas for a filly by San Fran—Maude, aad consequently half Bister to MahutODga. The Abbotsford Btud of the lain W. Rathbons was also disposed off to P. Price, Sags being obtained for tho brood mare Mergauser, a winner of tho Haake's Bay Cup and the Great Autumn Handicap at Riccarton.
