WEST END SENSATION.
ALLEGED ROBBERY FROM A CHINAMAN.
The four young men core rned in the attack on Ham Yan on Tuesday afternoon, were brought befote Mr W. A. Barlon, S.M., yesterday, and charged with having entered the premises of Ham Yan and stolen therefrom £33 10s The names of the men are ; Andrew MclLown, John Btevens, Thomas O’Connor, and Georgo Heywood. Sergeant Mackenzie said there was difficulty in regard to obtaining an interpreter, and he applied for a remand until to-morrow.
McKeown asked that the case be pro oeeded with that day. His Worship said it would be guite unreasonable to expect the case to go on at once.
The acoueed were then remanded until Friday, bail being allowed caoh of the accused in the sum of £2OO.
No loeal interpreter being available, one is being obtained frem outside.
