Napier, last night. The Tyser line steamer Mimiro left London on the 28th January for the usual Australian and New Zealand ports. Christchurch, last night.
William Kennedy, a farmer, of Green Park, was gored by a bull to-day, and died from shock.
An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Michael Dundon, who, while working at Gleamore Brick Works on Monday, was killed by a fall of clay. A verdict was returned that death was accidental. A ridor was addsd that when a section of clay was being loosened a man should be on the top of the face to report any weakening or tendsnoy to open out for the protection of those working below. Nelson, last night.
The carnival proceedings to day included races and a monster children’s demonstration. which was very largely attended. There was a fine fireworks display and several other attractions to>nigbt.
