The State Premier, in a speech at Ibe Exhibition Buildings, referring to llie position of Australia in relation to Canada and New Zealand, said : “Wo need not caro a button about Canada or New Zealand either. fhey talk about New Zealand, yet whon she wants money she comes to Victoria. She has come fer half a million, but I managed to get ahead of her,”
