POLICE RECORDS.

(Per Press 'Association.) Ohristohuroh, last nigh

Police returns for 1905 for Caute-bury and North Otago districts show the total number or offences reported to be 3560, as against 3913 for the preceding year. The total number of persons approbended and summoned was 3438. There were decreases for all the most serious offenoes, and for drunkenness, in whioh the number reported was 1537, as against 1889 during 1904.
