The third wool sale of the season was held here this morning, when 5000 ba!es were offered, and nearly all disposed of, Merino being the chief lots passed. The coarser grades wool showed an improve ment of *i to *d, compared with the previous Timaru sale, half-bred about the same, and Merino was disappointing in that it did not fetoh within half a penny of owners’ reserves in a majority of cases. Prioes ran as follows: Superior half bred. ll*d to 12Jfd, medium 101 to ll*d, fine three-quarter bred 10jd to 11 jd, medium 9Jd to 10*3, superior crossbred 9*d to lOd, medium B*d to 9*3, shoddy lots 7*3 to B£d, Merino 10d to lid. pieces halfbred 8d to Bfd, and up to lid for extra choice, three-quarter bred 7*3 to Bd, Merino 9*d to 10*3.
FROZEN MEAT.
Murray, Roberta and Co. forward a I summary of the frozen meat exported J from the different porta in New Zealand 1 for the six months ended December 31st, J 1905 (with a comparison betweeo the ( grand totals for 1904 and 1905).' The table has been compiled by |Dalgety and Co„ Limited, of Christchurch, for the Bhaw, Savill and Albion Company. From it we take the following :

Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following London market cablegram : "Sales proersas firmly. As compared with last saleis olosiog rates, pricss are lower ftom par to 5 per oent. for inferior Merino and coarse greasy crossbred. Market easier for Merino iambs; market farmer for fine greasy crossbred.”
