AUCKLAND v. HAWKE’S BAY,
(Per Press Association.) Napier, last night. The match between Auckland and Hawke’s Bay was started to day in beautiful weather. The home team batted first, and made 216 (Hall 93, and Cato 66). Auokland have lost one wioket for 91 (Homus not out 52, Lusk 38). Hawko’s Bay had lost six wiokets for 114, but the tail proved to bo better that was expected. The wickets fell to Stemson, Neill and Brooke-Smith.
