NEW ZEALAND FOOTBALLERS.

By telegraph, Press Ass'n, Copyrigh

Sydney, Jan. 17. The Daily Mail, commenting on the Yorkshire matob, says: It was a fine sportiDg crowd, with a great volume of cheeriDg, whioh greeted the constant flashes of the All Brilliancy. The game was very fast, the Yorkshiremen being run off their feet. The visitors oarried scrum after scrum. The Tykes in tho first ba’f were fairly flabbergasted at the extraordinary speed of their opponents. In the second half tbe home team set to work with an energy born of despair, and for fully a quarter of an hour had as muck of tbe game as tbe visitors. The forwards devoted themselves te loose tushes, and raised the hopes of the crowd to shrieking point by invading the New Zealand territory. Then a fine back defonoe revealed itself, and quick as thought tbe defence was converted into attack. The foroe of the Yorkshire explosion having spent itself, the New Zsalanders proceeded to score. Mynott and Hunter spoiled two beautiful passes. After this scoring proceeded in an irresis'.ible fashion.

Kilner, president of the Yorkshire Union, stated : The visitors are the fastest and oleverest lot of individuals and collectivists, if 1 may use the term, I have ever seen on the football field.
