AnTcqdlry was held to day before Mr 0. 0. Graham, S.M., touching the fire on 176 h December, which gutted a fish shop and boarding house in George and Hanover streets, formerly the British Hotel. The place was occupied by Oritobley, whose effects were mortgaged to J. Sullivan. A bailiff was in possession on the night of tbe fire for rent owing to tho ground lahdlord. The effects of Oritohley •were insured for £2OO in the Manchester offfoe very shortly before the fire. Proof of loss of £BIB was put in. The chief evidence apart from that of iho oeoripldif was that of Captain Milohell, df the fire bflgade, who said he was struok after the 00 had been put out with the little that Wfta iu the various He was etroii|ly of opinion there was not £3lB worth bf effects.
