(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. At the second wool sales to-day 3755 bales were offered, and a large proportion were sold. Prices dropped for finer classes of wools to, about a level with lest year’s figures, but pieoes, etc., were in better demand (ban before, and advanced from .a halfpenny to a penny per pound. For the latter sorts s£d to 7d were the prices, while for best marines Is, and fine crossbreds 104 were the best sales. , : Dunedin, last night. The principal wool Bale of the year opened this morning, 13.507 bales beinj offered. The buyers present iricludec English, American, Continental and bomb. American competition was particularly keen for all good wools. The sale showe'd generally a better tone than the last one, many passed lots fetching better pricer. There wa3 a specially keen demand for bellies and pieces, looal millers being the principal bidders. Prices so far are up to 13£d for first combing halfbred, and cross-' bred and pieoes brought up to 11£3, .One lot fetched 14d,
