Sir William McMillan has issued a writ for £SOOO damages against Sir William Lyne. Sir William MoMilhn states that Sir William Lyne some time ago,,in the lunoheon room of the Federal Parliament, praotioally stated that the McArthur Coy, of whom MoMillan was a member, pmohased hats from a manufacturer in Sydney, aud labelled them as “ made in Eng land.” McMillan wrote Lyne that this was absolutely untrue, and gave him a chance (o explain, otherwise he intended to take action, but Lyne did not reply to this or a subsequent letter.
