Speaking at a banquet in honor of the visitors S r Wilfrid Laurier, emphasising tho friendly relations between Canada and tbo United S.ates, and between both these countrios and Great Britain, said : " The raco is separated by events which it is i needless to alludo to, but I do not despair 1 of seeing a reunion iffocied in the oourse I cf time which will place the three nations at the bead of civilisation.” Mr R. L. Bordeo, Leader of the Conservatives in tho Canadian Housr, heartily concurred with Sic Wilfrid Laurior’s remarks.
