HEAT WAVE
NUMEROUS DEATHS AND DISASTROUS FIRES. By telegraph, Fresa Aas’n, Copyright Sydney, Jan. 9. Nine more deaths are reported from various districts as the result of the great heat wave, Bush fires swept three hundred square miles of the Forbes distriot, hundreds of miles of feociog and immense areas of grass, including sixty thousand acres of Uarabeabel Lake and Cowal Stations. Much property and considerable stock were destroyed The settlers on the half share prine>ple are large sufferers. They lost three thou sand bags of wheat, and one thousand tons of hay. The fires also caused great destructon in Condobolan, YouDg, and GuDdagai districts.
