In the conspiracy case Wilson, tbo solicitor who acted for Mrs Reimor, gave evidence that Butcher agreed (o provide his own aDd witness’s expenses to New Zialaud and other cosis but aftsr discovering that he would have to prove against tbe previous will, be took bis own proportion of expenses, leaving Mrs Reimer to j arrange for t ho payment of witnesses. Mrs White egreed to accept £SO expenses, but afterwards demanded half of Captain Lindfors’ estate or £SOO. This caused a hitch, Next day Mrs Reimer sent for Mr WiisoD, and conf ssed that the will was a forgery, alleging that Mrs White drew it 1 He immediately cabled to Brookfield and Sons, New Zealand solicitors acting in the case, to that effect. Up to the time of the confession bo bad no doubt of the genuineness of the will. Wilson declined to pros duce certain official correspondence in the ] case.
