Sydney, Dec.„2oi" Ths report of the Adminjjifation of British New Guinea shows that practically at a revenue for the year tota'led 219,000, and the expenditure over £36,000. Ths t-ade was valued at £143,000, an increase of £22,000 over the previous year. The report refers to the slow progress in developing the vast and valuable agricultural resources in, possession, though the natives generally show littlo inclination to work. The influence of the Government, and the wholesome dread of authority, uni'ed with confidence in Government to redress wrongs,- had a salutary effecl in diminishing tribal. fare.
