(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The lawn tennis meeting was resumed to-day in Bpleodid wea'her, The courls are in good order. The only championship games yet played are the ladie’s ohampionßhip doubles, io which Misses Harman and Beikeley beat Mesclameß Goldie and Pierard 6—2, 6—l, and men’s championship doubles, in which Smythe and Sloman beat Bed and Duncan, o—4 6-4, 6-0.
At the lawn lonnis.phampionsh'p meeting, in the la lies’ champion doubles, Mrs Holmes and Miss Jackson beat Misses Stewart 5 7,6 j |I, 6—4; Mis3fs Marchant and M. Ward boat Mieses Travers and Williams 6—3, 2—6, 6—4 ; Misßes Powdrell and Campbell beat Misßes Jamieson and Aiken 6—3, 6—l ; Misses Nunnely and Ward beat Misses Batham and Van Stavetn 7—6, 4—5, 6—l. In the men’s championship doubles White aud Fisher beat Young and Ailken B—6, 6—3, 6 —2 ; Parker and Swanston beat Bauchop and Borrie 6—o, 6 —l, 6 1; Goss and Borrows beat Marks and Cooke 6—3, 6—2, 6—l. Later.—Tho following are winners in the championship games : —Men’s singles : Parkor, Bell, Borrie, Laishley, Borrows, White. Wallace, Young, Bauobop, Fisher, Swanston, Bamfoid, Goss, Wilson, Dickie. Ladies’ championship singles: Mieses Nunnelly, Cock, Fannin, Ward, Travers, M. Ward, Powdreil, Gorrie, Batham. Men’s championship doubles : Quill and River, Symthe and Sloman, Parker and Swanston, Gos 3 and Borrows, Laishley and Wilson, Whits aud Fiher, Dickie and Wallace. Ladies’ championship doubles : Misses Powdrell and Campbell, Merchant and M. Ward, Clark and Robinson, Harman and Berkley, Nunnelly and Ward, Holmes and Jackson, Gorr’e and PGorrie.
