CRICKET.
POVERTY BAY REPRESENTATIVES
Tho eleven to represent Poverty Bay against Hawke’s Bay ou January Ist and 2nd, although not representing the full strongth of tho diet iot, should give a good ascount of itself. Included amongst tho probable players are nine men who have represented the local Union ogainst Hawke’s Bay in past matches, and of the new players Davies, Olson, and McConnell have shown good form this season, and fully justify their inclusion. It is not anticipated that the team will prove victorious in its matches in Napier, but it is quite strong enough to warrant tho Cricket Association sending tho team. Tho team will probably be selected today, and will meot a team of allcomers at tho Victoria Domain to-morrow afterThe Hawke’s Bay team whioh plays Poverty Bay mot another e’even last Saturday, and disposed of them fer 173 runs.
