THE EXHIBITION.

Christchurch, last night.
The weekly official review of the progress of the New Zealand International exhibition states that a 3 showing the attention drawn to tbe exhibition by ceremonies attending tbo laying of the foundation stone, many applications for. space have been received since Monday last, and on Wednesday last alone there were applications received from various parts of the colony for over 20,000 feet of space for home industries. Schedules relating to all c’asses of educational, tecbnica’, and other subjects have been drafted, and will be printed and issued at an early date. Numerous applications have been received from Australian art societies for space in the art gallery, and are still coming to hand. Tenders for the art gallery have been received, and are now before Government for consideration. It is expected that tho name oi the successful tenderer will be known in a few days.
