SCHOOL ENTERTAINMENT.
“THE JAPANESE GIRL."
Groat interest is being taken in tbe production of Dr Vincent’s new operetta,
" The Japanese Girl," by the Gisborne School pupils past and present, at His Majesty’s Theatre to-night. The open will be assisted by an effijient orchestra, the music being arranged by Mr M. Foster. The performance is under the direction of Mr A. J. Massey, who has devoted much time in preparing the pupils. The following, arc the principal characters : Japanese girl, Miss Primroso ; Kitu and Kayo (her cousins), Misses McKenzie and Power ; Mis 3 Koowall, Miss Faubort ; two English girls, Misses Power and Stevenson; servant, Mr P. Adair; Japanese sailor, Master “ Brud ” Massey ; English sailor, Master Tom Rico; General Koto, Mr P. Adair, Tho first part of the programme will include club drill, Irish and Chinese eketohes, scarf drill, songs and grand oadet drill by the school pupils, 1
