Tho Tariff Commission has published a summary of tho evidence respecting tbe woollen industry. It submits no report. The witnesses are practically unanimous that the industry is deteriorating. No branch is expanding. It is losing ground in the foreign and Home markets.- Lands are decreasing in value and mill property depreciating. Unless remedies are speedily suggested, the decline, winch has. already reached groat dimensions, runst become very marked.
