Tho conjoint stock sales were hold e Matawhero yesteiday, wkou there was | good attendance of buyer?, and brisk com petit’on throughout tho sale. I Sheep : About 1500 wore yarded, i large percentage being young slook, Mos of tho lines offered wore off the shears. Tin prices were os follows Messrs William and Kettle and N Z. Lcau and Morcantili I Company : Two hundred and twenty sovon 2 tooth ewes (shorn), in good oondi lion, 5d ; 278 2 tooth wothers (shorn' (12s 6d, 41 owes and 3 rams (shorn), in poor condition, 4s, 36 fat wothers (in wool) 21?, 16 fat lambs 12 j , 8 fat owes I (shorn) 10s 61, 58 shorn ewes 83 Id, 269 2-tooth ewes and wothers (shorn) 12$, 94 2 tooth ewes and wethers (woolly) 16s, 36 woolly hoggots 12s 7d, 18 fat sheep (shorn) 12s 91. Cattle : There was a good ontry oi ca'.tlo of first-olass quality. Tho salo was rather slow.
