Sir, —To show hew unreliable the map issued as a supplement to the Auckland Weekly News is, that large tract of land to the Bouth of the Waiapa river,; including the Tuparoa and Waipiro blocks leased by the Wil'iams family, which is carrying thousands and thousands of sheep (Waipiro alone is carrying about 200,OfiO), is ail painted black 1 Mr Clayton must have passed through these estates only a few weeks ago, aod yet he deliberately clings to his misstatements in Bpite of the Hon. J. Carroll’s refuial. ' Mr Darton’s figures do not support Mr Clayton’s, for the former's include lands whioh though under settlement should in,his opinion be more closely settled. If Mr-Clayton is a gentleman he should frankly acknowledge that his - figures are not correct, and not continue making a misstatement. He can’t hope fair-minded people to support him if he adopts such tactics.—l am, etc., RANGI.
