A SHOOTING FICTION.
, .(Per Press Association.) Auckland,.last night. The police were informed on Sunday that a very strange shooting affair had occurred in Grey street. The victim, a youth named Joseph Dodson, had to be taken to a private hospital suffering from a bullet wound in the right band. He explained that a strange man'had Bhot at him and run away. A deteotive was directed to investigate the mystery, and to-day it was completely cleared up, Dodson making a statement that the mysterious man who ran away was an invention of his own. He had been playing with a toy revolver on Sunday' evening, and while putting it in his pooket he injured himself by accidentally letting it off.
