(Pec Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. The statement for the 28th week of toe New Zealand Utility i Club egg-laying competition at LmooTn College shows that during the week 864 eggs were laid, an average of 22.7 per pen, .making a total to date of 17,g80, an average of 478.16 per pen. Tbo highest totals for the week were E. Wilder’s buff Orpingtons 34, 0. Petotsen’s blaok Orpingtons 83, J. Mann’s white Wyandofctes 80, H. PaoDell’s partridge Wyandottes 80. The highest totals to date are H. Hawke’s silver Wyandottes 774, J. Mann’s white Wyandottes 667, J. Shaw’s brown Leghorns 614, A. M. Price’s buff Orpingtons 606. The rough weather has affected the laying oousiderably.
