'(Pent Press Association.’) Fokekobe, last night. Mr Massey spoke at Pukekohe to-night, being his first address. A memorial of 1900 signatures was presented, absolving him from the necessity of addressing'all but a few places as a testimony of confidence. A presentation was also made,by the Pukekohe Cricket Club of a pipe. Mr Massey delivered an address, reviewing the pa3t session, and outlining the policy of the Opposition, embraoing increase of control by Parliament of the, finances, restoration of the powers of the AuditorGeneral, repeal of the Publio Bevenue Act, placing of the whole of the Government Departments under the Audit Department, Eleotive Legislative Coahoil, Publio Service Board, affording an opportunity of acquiring the freehold of all olasees of Crown land. Mr Grey, Liberal and Labor organiser, was present, and asked a number of questions, as did others, amid a perfect storm of mingled cheers and hoots. A vote of thanks and confidence was proposed, and an amendment of thanks only and ciohfis denoe in the Government was proposed, but deolared not aeoonded, and the motion was declared carried by the chairman, amid uproar, in which the meeting broke up.
