(From Our Own Correspondent.) “■ Ooiober 22. The centenary of Trafalgar was marked hero by a display of bunting. The children of the district school wore assembled in tbo morning and addressed by the chairman of the sohool committee (Mr J. Davey) on tho far-reaching effeots of Nelson’s great viotory. The children then saluted the flag and sang the National Anthem, after wbioh they were dismissed for the day. As Mrs T. Torr, aooompanied by her daughter, Mrs A. P. Stacey and three ohildren was out driving on Saturday, she dropped oue of the reins, and stooping to. recover it lost her balance and fell out. The buggy passed over her legs, inflicting some nasty wounds. Mrs Staoey, with great presence of mind, orept out on the shafts and obtained possession of the reins, getting the horse, whioh was on the point of bolting, nnder control, and thus averting what might Have proved a fatal accident. Mrs Torr, who is much oat and bruised and haß received a severe shook, is progressing favorably under Dr Swansegar’s care.
