Wellington, yesSorday, The House met at 11 a.m. J The Crown Suits Amendment Bill (Mr Millar) was read a first timo. On the motion of Mr SeddoD, a resolution waß placed on record regretting tho death of tho Hon. Mr Peacock, and expressing condolence with his family. As a mark of respeot to his memory, the House adjourned till 2.80 p.m. AFTERNOON SITTING. The Council met at 2.80. The Publio Trust Office Bill passed the final stages. The Criminal Code Amendment Bill was read a second time by 20 to 4. The House resumed at 2.30. Mr Hall-Jones moved the second reading of the Aid to Public Works and Land Settlement Bill, whioh for the raisiog of J 61,000,000. The debate included the debate on the Publio Works statement, and proceeded throughout the afternoon. EVENING SITTING.
The Council resumed at 7.30. The Medical Practitioners Registration Bill pa3Bed the final stages. The House resumed at 7.30. The debate on tho Loan Bill and Public Works Statement proceeded throughout the evening.
