A MOTHER’S INTERRUPTION.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night.
At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Herbert Donald Jatvis was committed for trial on a charge of making a false declaration for the purpose of procuring a marriage oertifioate, Evidence was given that on October oth, 1905, accused had made a declaration before the registrar that he was a bachelor when he was married in June, 1905. Acoused was abcut to go through the marriage coremony after procuring the oertifioate in Ootober, 1905, but his mother objeoted on the, ‘ground that bis first wife was alive.
