At the Diocesan Synod, which began session to-day, tbe commission appointed to consider the spiritual naeds of Greater Ohristohutph submitted a report,' They recommended ton localities in tbe city end suburbs whioh Bhculd become eitber. immediately or et no distant date centres of ohutcb work, and in which sites should be procured for tbe e ecticn of a church or special buildings. The scheme will demand at least two additional assistant curates, and probably three. The appointment is also recommended of two men to bold paroobial missions and act in relieving. A special fund - should bo inaugurated to assist in the erection of churches and schoolrooms required, and suggestions are also made for meeting other financial requirements of the scheme.
