The House met at 7.30.
Mr Seddon announced that the Government had decided to appoint a commission to thoroughly investigate every phase of the Meikle case, and Government was prepared to act on the recommendations of the commission.
The following Bills were read a second time * Public Works Compilation, Taranaki Scholarship, 'Workers’ Compensation for Accidents, Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration, Education Reserves, Factories Act Amendment, and several Bills of looal imporiaboa only.; /-
